Air-Sea Meteorological summary data

The data are summaries from the vaisala (air pressure, relative humidity and air temperature) and the R3-Sonic anemometer (wind speed, direction and flux data). These instruments are not part of our core data. They are only supported when there are research projects which support their deployment and maintenance.

The sensors are located at the air-sea interaction tower on a mast. They are approximately 18.4 meters above sea-level.

More detailed statistics are available in the vais_s and 3D1_s data.


Most of the data parameters include values for the mean and median value as well as the standard deviation of the variable. The table below shows the field name suffix used to differentiate among the different values:
